Meat the Truth is a high-profile documentary, presented by MP Marianne Thieme, which forms an addendum to earlier films on climate change. Satoyama, è un tradizionale ambiente rurale in cui uomini e natura coesistono. Questa storia ci porta nella foresta di montagna vicino al lago più grande del Giappone. I consumatori occidentali si stanno orientando verso il commercio equo nelle piantaggioni certificate da marchi come Max Havelaar perchè, garantisce ai lavoratori un piccolo extra, ogni volta che un consumatore compra il loro tè. Questo film descrive come il commercio equo non sia poi così equo.

This film tells the true story of how Fairtrade is not at all fair.

The Damned of the Sea
Migliaia di agguerriti pescatori marocchini devono spostarsi sempre più a sud per poter sperare di catturare un po' di pesce, se qualche pesce ancora è rimasto. Dietro le loro spalle, ma molto vicino alle coste dove si sono ritrovati i pescatori disoccupati, enormi pescherecci stranieri trascinano sulle acque le loro reti mortali, uccidendo un intero ecosistema, e a volte letteralmente «aspirandolo». Il governo vende loro le licenze di pesca permettendo tutto ciò. La rivolta di questi pescatori disperati, testimoni della loro inevitabile scomparsa, alcuni mesi prima, era stata violentemente repressa dalle autorità.

Thousands of struggling moroccan fishermen have to move further and further south to keep hope in catching some fish, any fish, if any fish left to catch. In the background, but quite close from the shores where they end up staying idle, huge foreign trawlers drag the waters with their death nets, killing an entire ecosystem, and sometimes literally « vacuuming » it. The government sold them fishing licenses allowing them to do so. Standing foreground, these fishermen, desperated, witness their own inevitable disappearance, while the revolt of their pairs, few month earlier, has been violently repressed by the authorities.
